On the afternoon of May 12, Prof. Qiao Qingju, inspector of the Central Party School Supervision Group, professor, and doctoral supervisor, gave a lecture themed "The Current Research Status of Confucian Ecological Philosophy and Its Methodological Significance to the Report of Chinese Philosophy" in the conference room on the third floor of our college.
Prof. Qiao Qingju told us the current status and characteristics of the research on the ecological philosophy of Confucianism at home and abroad, the research topics and achievements in recent years. The ideas, basic principles, theoretical dimensions and category system of the research. The latest achievements and conclusions and the methodological significance of ecological philosophical studies on the study of Chinese philosophy.
When Qiao Qingju talked about research topics and achievements, he stressed that when doing research on a subject, one must find his direction and make his own brand and field. Regarding the research ideas, he said that he must break through the simple philosophy and break through the " Four Books" system, so that his own research ideas are more diverse, and the range of historical materials should be broader. In the part of the three theoretical dimensions of Confucian ecological philosophy, Qiao Qingju explains the relationship between the three dimensions of “religion, morality, and politics” and the four aspects of “animals, plants, land and mountains” in the form of a table. In the methodological significance of the study of Chinese ecological philosophy for the study of Chinese philosophy, Qiao Qingju believes that this opens up a new path for Chinese philosophy and cultural understanding, broadens the understanding foundation of Chinese philosophy, increases the depth of understanding of Chinese philosophy, corrects some misunderstandings in the study of Chinese philosophy, and reflects the characteristics of Chinese philosophy, breaks the host-object opposition paradigm in modern times, it is conducive to the construction of ecological civilization, and is also conducive to the construction of the world philosophy.
This lecture explained the ecological research in a completely new perspective and combined it with our traditional Confucian culture to broaden the academic horizons of our students. Prof. Qiao Qingju reminded the students that they could think about the issue in a different perspective when conducting research on a subject, and they should persevere and not fear the setbacks ahead.
