On the morning of November 30, Professor Feng Liang of Naval Command College was invited to give an academic lecture on "The Situation in the South China Sea and China's Countermeasures" in our college. The lecture was presided over by Ma Cuijun, vice president of our college. Some teachers, undergraduates and postgraduates of our college participated in this activity.

Feng started with the importance of the South China Sea in China's maritime power strategy. First of all, we should fully understand the significance of the South China Sea in maritime delimitation. It is an important direction of China's maritime security and a crucial sea area for China's strategic maritime routes. Then, he elaborated on the current security situation and future trend of the South China Sea in the light of the international situation. In the end, he summarized the major achievements and experiences and lessons of contemporary maritime rights protection in China, and discussed the choice of countermeasures. He insisted on the two general situations of rights protection and stability maintenance, defined the goals, and flexibly handled the relationship with neighboring countries. These views have aroused the thoughts and resonance of teachers and students on the spot.

At the end of the lecture, Feng Liang, with his profound knowledge and rich experience, discussed and communicated with the present teachers and students on relevant issues. The academic atmosphere of the whole lecture was strong, and the atmosphere of the venue was lively. Finally, the lecture came to a successful conclusion in the applause of the students.
