In order to implement the spirit of the national education conference, strive to improve the comprehensive quality of students, and promote the all-round development of students’morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor, the college recently held a series of labor education activities.

On the morning of September 7, the College held a lecture on《bring labor back》in the third conference room. Li Qiang, a teacher of the Department of labor and social security, acted as the keynote speaker, and Tian Fengshao, vice president, attended and presided over the meeting. Combined with online live broadcast, all undergraduates of the college attended the meeting. At the beginning of the lecture, Dr. Li Qiang said,“where has labor gone?”This paper discusses four concepts of labor value, labor problem, labor sacredness and labor state. By discussing various doctrines and trends of thought emerging from labor value and labor problems since the modern industrial revolution, this paper expounds to the participants the relationship between the process of labor value discovery and the origin of labor problems from modernization. Changing the direction of thinking and focusing on the reality, he pointed out that the current labor problems, such as the instability of work and the imbalance of income, urgently need the students present to devote themselves to study, constantly improve their professional ability, learn to start from their own majors, and put forward new ideas and methods belonging to the youth under the background of the times. The profound and penetrating teaching method has benefited and deeply touched the students here.

On the afternoon of September 7, Ma Wenfang, a national outstanding rural doctor and a national model worker, was invited to give a lecture entitled《villagers’health is my greatest wish》to the students. From 1967 to now, he has been a doctor for more than 50 years and only raised 169Yuanto repay the villagers for treating his mother. For more than 50 years, he has always adhered to the three principles of medical practice: loving the patient, seeing the doctor carefully and studying hard. Free physical examination for veterans, regular visits to the elderly in nursing homes, and subsidies for children who are out of school due to poverty……One by one, reflects the benevolence of his doctors and their dedication to the people. As a deputy to the National People’s Congress, he raised the issue of people’s livelihood at the grassroots level, which promoted the further development of the new rural cooperative medical system, and promoted the solution of the problem of expensive and difficult medical treatment in rural areas. The sun and the moon shine together, and the wind and rain remain unchanged. For decades, Ma Wenfang has been shining for special groups in rural areas, interpreting extraordinary stories in ordinary posts, and never forgetting to play the banner role of outstanding communist party members and interpreting“the greatness of labor”.

Previously, the college organized and carried out labor practice activities of“beautifying dormitor”and“cleaning campus”. Through this labor activity, the students realized the hardship of labor, felt the significance of labor, and stimulated the enthusiasm of labor. The subsequent college will formulate and post《dormitory labor convention》and hold dormitory culture competition. Through the activities of cleaning and decorating dormitories, students can play freely, create unique dormitory style, create warm and comfortable dormitory environment, and construct characteristic dormitory culture.

In the future, under the guidance of three principles: the combination of theory and practice, the combination of theme education activities and campus culture construction, and the combination of service and labor, the college will promote labor education into training programs, courses and classrooms. Based on tree planting day, learning from Lei Feng volunteer service, may day, farmers’harvest day and volunteer day, we organized and carried out labor education activities.
