On June 2nd afternoon, our university holds a seminar about the construction of a "two-class" subject university and developing plan of School of Philosophy and Public Management in the small hall in Ming Lun campus. The seminar was divided into two parts: the establishment of the Advisory Committee for the Development of the Philosophy and Public Management Consultation Committee and the consultation seminar. Party Secretary Lu Keping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Lei Ting, member of the Development Planning Advisory Committee, head of the relevant functional department of the school, members of the School of Philosophy and Public Administration, teachers and student representatives attended the meeting. The seminar was hosted by Lei Ting.

In his speech, Lu Keping expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the experts attending the development of his alma mater. He said that with the further advancement of the construction of“two-class”subject universities, the subject construction of our university has ushered in major development opportunities. The School of Philosophy and Public Management did not rely on or waited for the others, but seized the opportunity to set up an academic development planning advisory committee, inviting well-known domestic experts and scholars to provide advice and suggestions on the College’s major development strategies, major reform and development initiatives, and medium and long-term development plans. Make the college's development strategy, scientific research layout better adapted to the requirements of the construction of "two-class" subject university. To better integrate with the country’s major strategic needs and the needs of economic and social development, and improve the scientific, strategic, and coordinated decision-making. The establishment of the Development Planning Advisory Committee of the School of Philosophy and Public Management will certainly play a leading role within the school.

At the consultation and seminar stage, members gave suggestions and suggestions. First, the discipline construction should be first-class, focus on the foundation, create self-characteristics, pay attention to the development of the discipline group, actively build first-class disciplines, and create the characteristics of the central plains disciplines. Second, academic research should focus on cooperation, structure and results, consolidate academic research platforms, deepen cooperation with universities and research institutes, and make exemplary academic achievements. Thirdly, talent-training must focus on cultivation, introduce more good achievements and expand influence, introduce top academic talents, and do a good job of“retaining people”and“hiring well-being people”. Training academic leaders and exerting academic influence should also be paid attention. Fourth, the plan of development should be strategic, innovative, and clear-cut. With a long-term strategic vision, we should formulate plans for the various stages of short-, medium-, and long-term discipline development to provide a clear direction for the development of the college.
