On November 12th, at the invitation of our college, Professor Xiong Yihan from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University delivered an online academic report titled "Case Teaching and Case Study in Public Management Education".The event was hosted by Ma Cuijun, vice president of our college. Some teachers and graduate students of Public Administration participated in the meeting by combining online and offline methods.

Professor Xiong Yihan gave lectures on case study, case teaching and case competition, the application of case study method in postgraduate thesis of public administration, case writing skills, and Fudan University's experience in organizing and guiding the national case competition of public administration.He put forward two advice to the participants of the case competition: "a good topic is half of the success" and "no research, no right to speak, first-hand information is the king". He introduced in detail on how to choose a good topic and conduct a survey interview for case study.At the same time, he combined with the experience of the case competition of Fudan University and explained the writing skills and methods of case analysis report for us.Finally, he also pointed out the significance of case study for the discipline construction and the theorization of Chinese public management experience, and called on students and teachers to pay more attention to case study and teaching in future research and study.

At the end of the lecture, Professor Xiong Yihan discussed and communicated with the teachers and students about the case study with his profound knowledge and rich experience.The whole lecture was full of academic atmosphere and the atmosphere was active. In the end, the lecture came to a successful end in the applause of the students.
