On November 11, at the invitation of our college, Professor ChenMingxian, a famous expert in the history of the Communist Party of China and the history of contemporary Chinese studies, a professor of the Department of the history of the Communist Party of China at Renmin University of China, gave an academic lecture on “spiritual interpretation of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee” in the conference room on the third floor of our college. MaCuijun, vice president of our college, presided over the lecture. Some teachers and students of our college listened to Professor Chen’s lecture on the spot.

From the perspective of historical development, Professor ChenMingxianinterprets the important historical nodes of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the 14th “five yearsplan” proposal put forward by the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and the development requirements of the new era. First, we must fully understand the historical status of the Fifth Plenary Session of the Fifth Central Committee, because it is the two meeting at the one hundred year meeting, the meeting after the victory of the new crown, the 100 trillion meeting of the gross national product, the conference that marks the beginning of the new stage of China’s socialist construction and the turning point of the historical development of China. It marks the conference under the guidance of Xi Jinping thoughts. Secondly, we should have a deep understanding of the “proposal” put forward by the Fifth Plenary Session of the CPC Central Committee, which requires us to realize that the14th “five yearsplan” is a good plan based on practice, understand and grasp the characteristics of the14th “five yearsplan” and the long-term goal of 2035. Finally, ChenMingxiancalled on our youth to keep up with the great development of the times, to keep up with the Party Central Committee to enter a new era and new stage, and to keep up with the Party Central Committee to study hard.

In this academic lecture, students participated in the study of the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee with full enthusiasm. After the meeting, the students also expressed that they benefited a lot from Professor Chen’s lecture, which not only broadened the theoretical vision, laid a good foundation for further in-depth study of the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, but also brought inspiration for future academic research.
