Abstract:Based on the field survey data of the rural elderly in Enshi city, the paper analyzes the living conditions of rural elderly women and their demand for pension services. The study found that the overall living conditions of rural women are poor, especially due to the influence of the climate and eating habits, the incidence of chronic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and hypertension is high. The elderly women in rural areas have the highest demand for medical care services, followed by spiritual comfort services, and the lowest demand for life care services.More precisely, there is a great demand for all the items of health services, and a high need for spiritual comfort services such as chess and card venues and dancing and fitness venues. Accordingly, In order to improve the service efficiency of mutual assistance for the elderly, the construction of rural clinics and activity venues should be strengthened to ensure the implementation of medical care and spiritual comfort services; A certain level of gender awareness should be reflected in the development of rural volunteer activities to better satisfy rural women the needs of the elderly; At the same time, by perfecting the economic security for the aged, the economic conditions of the rural elderly women can be improved to promote their consumption of the old-age services.
