Li Shenghui—Moral Realism and Darwinian Dilemma
From:Li Shenghui     Date:2020-07-10    Hits:

Abstract:Darwinian evolutionary interpretation of the origin of two difficult moral beliefs points out thatMoral realism either faces the challenge of moral skepticism, or its proponents' response to this challenge is not compatible with the theory of evolutionary science.Thomas Negel regarded the moral skepticism in Darwinian dilemma as a general moral sceptic and tried to respond to it in the way that George Moore responded to it.However, whether in terms of premise and way of presenting, or in terms of conclusions and responses, the Darwinian dilemma of moral skepticism is different from the general moral skepticism , which leads to Nigel's Moorish scheme in response to the latter not being able to respond effectively to the former.
