Recently, the Boya Youth Observer Mission of the School of Philosophy and Public Administration of Henan University is in full swing in its summer practice of "three to the Countryside". During the one-week practice, the team members went deep into the grassroots and visited Zhangzhuang Village, Lankao County, Kaifeng City, Henan Province, Shangdian Village, Liudian Township and Xinshan Village, Dayugou Town, Gongyi City. Through field investigations and visits, they had in-depth conversations with village cadres and the masses, understood the dynamics of poverty alleviation at the grass-roots level, and felt the sense of gain of rural villagers.

In 7 days of research, Boya observer mission team used different methods, such as conducting village forums, questionnaires, face to face interview survey to had an in-depth understanding of the implementation of targeted poverty alleviation policies in the research sites, in addition, the team had the opportunity to follow the village committee members to the golden peach planting base, black chicken fir greenhouses and other industrial sites for personal experience in order to observe the development of village industries and feel the great changes that have taken place in the village since the implementation of the targeted poverty alleviation policy and the increasing sense of gain among the villagers. At the same time, the researchers also found a gap in feelings of gain between poor and non-poor households, and had a deeper understanding of the rural villagers' sense of gain.

During the practice, Boya went to farmers' homes and had cordial conversations with local farmers. According to the questionnaire, they had an in-depth exchange of views on the poor and non-poor households, learned the basic family conditions of the villagers, and inquired detailly about the causes of poverty, actual needs and other indicators of attainment, as well as the implementation of various assistance measures. They also had an in-depth exchange of views with non-poor families and felt the warmth and simplicity of the locals.

Through this research, Boya youth Observer mission members have a basic understanding of the current situation of poor villages in the context of the current struggle against poverty. At the same time, they also have a more comprehensive and three-dimensional understanding of the differences in the sense of gain among rural villagers, especially poor and non-poor households. Boya also has their own ideas about how to improve the sense of gain of rural villagers.
