On the morning of November 20th, anacademic salonwas held in the MPA4 room of our college with the theme of " Great Changes unseen in China in a century: Achievements and Prospects".The keynote speaker of this academicsalonwas Sun Peixin, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Henan University and Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences. Tian Liujia, a graduate student of the philosophy class of our college, presided over the salon. Some graduate students of philosophy department participated in the salon.

Sun Peixin described the general situation of China's reform and opening up for 40 years, and took Fengqiu County as an example to briefly introduce the background and situation of reform and opening up and rural land reform.Sun Peixin pointed out that in the reform and opening up, the mode of production has changed from big responsibility to household responsibility, and collective work of farmers has changed to individual work. This change enlightens us to solve the current problems with appropriate ways and methods, and stimulate people's enthusiasm for work and life.At the same time, Sun Peixin mentioned that from the application and wide implementation of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, the household contract responsibility system, separation of land ownership and use right, and land transfer contract to individuals, we should recognize the importance of respecting the initiative of the people and dare to innovate and try in our life.

After the lecture, Sun Peixin had a heated discussion with the students on related issues with great teaching enthusiasm, and the whole activity had a strong academic atmosphere. Finally, the salon was successfully concluded in the warm applause of the students.
