December 31, the Ministry of Education released 2019 annual national and provincial first-rate Undergraduate majorsconstruction point list. Philosophymajor and Administration Management major of our college were in national and provincial first-rate construction point list respectively, which marked important progress was made in executing “take undergraduate course construction as our main task” to promote undergraduate education, build first-rate undergraduate majors and devote to building a first-rate undergraduate major.

Administration Management major at Henan University has a long history. In 1935, Mr. Zhang Jinjian, the father of Chinese administration studies, taught in Henan University, opened the course of administration studies and published theTheory and Practice of Administration studies, which opened the precedent of administration education in Henan University and even in China. For more than 80 years, the administration management specialty has been continued and innovated. In 2001, it was approved as a master's degree authorization center of administration management. In 2005, it was approved as a master's degree authorization center to grant master's degree in public administration as a first-level discipline and Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA) based on administrative management. In 2017, the discipline team of public administration was approved as innovation team in the Philosophy and SocialScienceof those Colleges and universities which located in Henan Province, and in 2018, the discipline of public administration was approved as the ninthbatch of key disciplines of Henan Province. The major of philosophy in Henan University originated from the department of Philosophy in Zhongzhou University founded by Mr. Feng Youlan in 1923. In 1962, it was renamed as “Philosophy Teaching and Research Office of the Department of Politics and Education”. In 1979, it began to enrollgraduate students in two second-level disciplines, Marxist philosophy and Logic. In 2000, the department of philosophy was restored. In 2001, it began to enroll undergraduates. In 2005, it was approved as a master's degree authorization center of first-level discipline of philosophy. In 2007, Marxist Philosophy was approved as a key discipline of Henan Province. The first-level discipline of philosophy was approved as the eighth batch of Key Disciplines of Henan Province in 2013 and the ninth batch in 2017respectively,and the teaching team was approved as the Philosophy and Social Science Innovation Team of Henan Universities in 2014, and approved as the Excellent Grassroots Teaching Organization of Henan Province in 2018.

Take the administration management, philosophy two majors into the first-rate undergraduate major construction point as an opportunity, college will adhere to the "Take undergraduate course construction as our main task" ,carry out" four regression ", implement the fundamental task of cultivating people with morality, increase the intensity of first-rate undergraduate specialty construction security, speed up the profession structure optimization, strengthen the education teaching research and practice, enhance the profession level, and form a well-conditioned state in specialty construction, which has characteristics likehighlighted in the key point, resources sharing, collaborative development, support each other, to improve the quality of personnel training comprehensively.
