The style of study will be handed down from generation to generation. On October 22, our college held a professional exchange meeting for new and old students in classrooms 3308 and 3309 of the complex building of Jinming campus, with the theme of “passing on the torch and teaching the new with the heart”. Eight representatives of senior students and undergraduates of grade 2020 attended the exchange meeting.

Zhou Yan and Zhang Jiyuan, the administrative management majors of grade 2017, share their ideas from four aspects: study, practice, scientific research and work. It is their belief that where there is a will, there is a way. Cultivating “bottom line thinking” and “strategic thinking” is their secret to gain. Li Pengyang, labor and social security majorof grade 2017, put forward his own opinions on how to allocate his time and energy. He encouraged freshmen to learn to know themselves, explore their own values, and pursue the meaning of life. Ding Yingying and Yuan Man, who majored in Philosophy in 2017 grade, combined with their own learning and life experiences, told the freshmen that confusion is not terrible. They should follow the pace of their teachers, keep working hard and work silently, and eventually they will achieve something. Zhao Yixuan, social work major in 2018 grade, believes that love can last for a long time. She hopes that students can love life and themselves, find their own interests in the four years of college life, and take every step of the university road well. Li Yiming and he Junche of grade 2019 explained the importance of thinking from both in class and out of class perspectives. They suggested that freshmen cultivate the ability of independent thinking, balance their studies and extracurricular activities, and seize every opportunity to exercise themselves.

At the end of the experience sharing session, new and old students have face-to-face exchanges and questions. The representatives of the old students answered questions for the new students on “professional diversion”, “learning methods”, “university practice” and other issues, combined with their own experience. The interaction was positive and the atmosphere was harmonious. The exchange meeting ended successfully with applause.

Clear the course of life, pursue the dream of youth. Through two-way communication, this exchange meeting helps freshmen get out of the confused period of life transformation, quickly adapt to the new stage of life, find new direction of future struggle, and lay the foundation for their future learning and growth.
