On October 29th, the first phase of the "Good Books" series of reading conferences was held in the first conference room of our college. Mr. Han Chenkai and Mr. Li Shenghui from the Department of Philosophy attended this activity and served as comment teachers.
"Take the Times as a Mirror, Respond to the Changes of the Wind", the theme of this reading club is "Times".Six book sharers are well prepared to present their own insights on the different times of their books, combined with well-crafted slides. Hua Jialu, who majored in philosophy, selected the book " The Great Two Thousand Years", and introduced the important contribution of economic civilization to the development of history by using the relationship between politics and business under the centralized system in ancient China, and put forward the view of viewing the present through history and learning reform experience from history. Du Changlin, who majored in labor and social security, turned his perspective to the world and selected the book "Rise of Great Powers". By introducing the rise and fall of world powers in modern history, he emphasized the importance of ideology and culture, institutional innovation, learning and reference, and talent wisdom for national development and progress.
Later, two teachers made wonderful comments on the competition. They first expressed their affirmation of the students' extensive reading and put forward suggestions based on their professional knowledge and reading experience.Mr. Li Shenghui combined with the students' on-site performance, proposed that the main content of book sharing should be clearly introduced, the theme of the idea should be specific and clear, and the language should be concise and comprehensive.Mr. Han Chenkai stressed that we should learn the thoughts in the book through reading, grasp the way of thinking, and cultivate a comprehensive perspective.
Good scenery is intoxicating, and books are full of fragrance. The reading conferences series of "Good Books" is the characteristic activity of our college. It is reported that there are five editions of the "Good Books" series of reading conferences, presenting a wide range of books with five different themes.With books to cultivate temperament, this "good books" series of reading is conducive to the formation of a good trend of active reading and extensive reading in the whole college, to enhance the humanistic foundation and knowledge literacy of college students, and to build a scholarly and liberal college.
