On November 9th, "70 Years of Chinese Philosophy" high-end forum, co-sponsored by the Institute of Philosophy of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Henan University and hosted by our college, was held in our university. Wang Lisheng, Party Secretary, Institute of Philosophy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Zhao Dunhua, Professor, Department of Philosophy, Peking University; Li Jingyuan, Professor, Institute of Philosophy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Liu Dachun, Professor, School of Philosophy, Renmin University of China, And the other from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Party School, Wuhan University, Northeastern University, Sun Yat-sen University, Fudan University, Shaanxi Normal University, Shanxi University, Liaoning University, Zhengzhou University and other institutions and research institutions of more than 30 experts and scholars gathered here. They held academic discussions around the "Achievements and prospects of Chinese philosophy in the past 70 years" and other issues, which brought a rich academic feast for Henan University's teachers and students. The opening ceremony of the forum was held in the conference room on the fourth floor of New Century Mingdu Hotel. The president Song Chunpeng attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhang Baoming, deputy secretary of the University Party Committee.

On how to speed up the construction of the three systems of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics, Wang Lisheng emphasizes the relationship between the six aspects: The first is the relationship between the development of philosophy and the change of the times. The second is the relationship between philosophical research and people's standpoint. The third is the relationship between the generality of the times and the individuality of the scholars. This meeting enables teachers and students to have a more profound understanding of the philosophical theories and the development of philosophy since the founding of the People's Republic of China. After the meeting, they will further comb, digest, absorb and apply them to the work and study in the next step. The closing ceremony of the forum was presided over by Ji Zhichuang, who is the president of our college. Professor Lv Shirong of our college and Professor Li Jingyuan from the Institute of Philosophy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences respectively made a summary speech. Lv Shirong deeply expounded the understanding and thinking of "the theory and construction of Chinese philosophy, the experience and lessons, and the mission and responsibility of philosophy". She pointed out that we should adhere to the problem-oriented approach, and construct philosophical theories to foretell the direction and point out the way for the development of human civilization by constantly discovering, proposing and solving problems. Li Jingyuan's message to undergraduates majoring in philosophy is that they should strive to learn philosophy science and history well and lay a solid professional foundation. At the same time, he pointed out that we should adhere to the idea that "understanding is transcendence and understanding is conquest", and learn from the West and the world with an open mind, so as to continuously promote the prosperity and development of Chinese philosophy. In the warm applause of the attending teachers and students, the high-end forum of "70 Years of Chinese Philosophy" came to a successful conclusion.

The forum celebrates the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in the form of academic discussion, which is the direct embodiment of philosophy based on the times and innovative thoughts.
