On the morning of October 25, our college invited Professor Yang Xuedong, Dr. Ma Jie, Dr. Zhao Jinxu and Dr. pan Yingying from Tsinghua University to hold an academic exchange meeting with the theme of“Big data governance research”in the conference room on the third floor of philosophy and public management. Ma Runcheng, Secretary of our Party committee, Ma Cuijun, vice president, and teachers and graduate students majoring in public management attended the meeting, which was presided over by Ma Cuijun.

At the opening session of the conference, Ma Runcheng first delivered a welcome speech, expressing a warm welcome to all the experts. Next, Professor Yang Xuedong first elaborated the connotation and significance of data governance in the process of modernization of national governance system and governance capacity; Dr. Ma Jie, scientific research director of data governance research center, introduced the development status, research direction and main research achievements of data governance research center of Tsinghua University in recent years; Dr. Zhao Jinxu presented “digital government development index report (2020)”. This course focuses on the theoretical background, index construction, research methods and process, and evaluation results of digital government development index.

In the free exchange session of the conference, teachers and students of our college, such as Liu Junying, Cui Huimin, Zhang Ge, Li Youxue, Zhu Lei, respectively, made in-depth discussions and exchanges with experts on the dimensions determined by the development index of digital government, the adjustment of government and social boundaries in the era of big data, and the application of emerging network information technologies such as big data and blockchain in government management.

Finally, Ma Cuijun summarized the speech and talked about the exchange experience. He believed that the exchange meeting had achieved a very good academic dialogue effect. He suggested that teachers should participate in academic exchange activities, tap the potential of digital governance research topics, implant theoretical knowledge of public management, and highlight the significance of Public Management Research to the modernization of governance system and governance ability.
